Another quaint spot in the little food court/mart. They were very accommodating and let us sample all of their pickles! I was so impressed I ended up leaving with a brisket ruben + a jar of pickles. I will definitely be going back!
Love the chicken Shawarma there a bit on the pricey side but really tasty
Pickles are delicious. Also, their pita sandwiches are very good. Highly recommend.
Old Jerusalem Restaurant is top notch. The food spoke for the 4 star review alone and tasted amazing. The service was better than expected and the food came out in a prompt manner. I highly recommend the falafel and kifta kebab. Make sure next time you are in the mission to go to Old Jerusalem for authentic Middle Eastern Cuisine.
Delicious!
Had the shakshuka here. This is only the second time I've ever had this dish. All I got was a lot of spicy and salty flavor. Not sure if that is the way it is supposed to taste. But I don't think I would order it again.
Nice try
There are three little restaurants in here. Thai, Middle Eastern, and Jamaican. So I've had the Middle eastern once and the Thai 4 or 5 times. I still need to try the Jamaican. They are both delicious! And the Thai place is my favorite. It's very, very good (and cheap!!). Fresh vegetables. Perfectly cooked tofu. Try the coconut jello (made with fresh coconut)! Only a few spots to sit, but I've never had a problem. It's causal, best for a quick lunch.
This place was a very pleasant surprise. It's in a little marketplace, along with a Jamaican restaurant and a Thai restaurant. There's not a lot of seating, but if you can find a place (or take your meal to go) it's well worth a try. I had the beef kofta, which was perfectly spiced and filling. My wife had the sabich, which was tangy and fresh-tasting. Both were served as sandwiches in warm, soft pita bread. I also got a honey cardamom iced tea, which was great—sweet and tart, with just enough cardamom to notice without overpowering the drink. My only complaints: limited and uncomfortable seating, and somewhat high prices for what you get.
The first jar of pickles we had from Paulie's was off the chain. Amazing. I was standing in front of the fridge eating pickles at 2am, they were that good. Here's the thing... the second jar... it was just ok. We never finished them. They just weren't as good. Another bummer, they don't take their Mason Jars back now.Ten stars for the first jar. Two stars for the second jar. The price is worth if for the first jar, but not the second.
Fantastic brisket reuben!
I love this place! My boyfriend and I come here on weekends for everything bagels with smoked whitefish and tomato -- our favorite. Also, the lady with the short hair and the young brunette boy who work here are so sweet.
Good options and welcoming smile. I had to try out the coconut tapioca and loved the rich coconut flavor with tapioca twist. I'll have to come back and try the other treats listed on the menu.
Delicious deli food. I love getting a chocolate egg cream here! Homey atmosphere.
Reuben sandwich, and the white fish sandwich.
It's excellent.Got the brisket and liver with sourdough bread.Super friendly too :)
I like the pickled products and sandwiches
The carrot soup was outstanding!
Still the very best, but make sure the labels do not fall off the jars if you get a bunch, because you may be surprised!
Awesome ful and sabich. Perfect pickles.
Delicious. Best pickles and ruben I've ever had.
